  1. Yes
I have had my R100 body for a few months now. I'm sure I will upgrade someday, but it does everything it is supposed to do well and has met my expectations. I have no regrets.

One thing routinely annoys me. I have large hands, and with the smaller R100 body, I frequently bump the Flash Button with the heel of my hand. I rarely, if ever, use the flash. I recently found a solution, and the problem has been eliminated! On some camera function buttons, Flash is one of them. In the options to reassign functions, there is a NONE option. This effectively disables the button. This may help someone else.

Steps to Reassign or Disable the Flash Button

  1. You can go to the camera's menu.
  2. Navigate to the Custom Functions (C.Fn) section.
  3. Select Custom Controls.
  4. Choose the directional pad button (the right button controls flash).
  5. Assign it to "No function (disabled)" or another function you use more frequently34.
This process will prevent the flash settings menu from popping up when you accidentally press the button, allowing you to continue shooting without interruption.

I had that problem with the Q button on my Fuji, but was able to disable it…but on Fuji cameras, if you press and hold any button, it brings up the menu that lets you reassign the button. This was only slightly less annoying than having the Q menu come up! 🤪

Yep! Bought an excellent Nikon and gave it away to my brother because my hands are simply too large for smaller cameras. Now sporting a Canon R5 that has equally good photos but with considerably better physical size. My brother and wife are blown away at the improvements to their photography.

It wasn’t just the size of the camera, but the placement of the button, in this case. Right where the web between your index finger and thumb are…and no way to turn it off completely. 🤬
