Canon R6 II R6 II My Menu

Scrolling up and down through the list of options you can add to My Menu was driving my nuts so I wrote down the list (in order as it appears in the menu). I hope it's helpful.

Thanks. They put people on the moon 55 years ago and Canon for some reason can't program this list so it is alphabetical order.

It's too bad this is just as archaic as with the R6. Even the "My Menu" of my Nikon D750 several years back was leaps and bounds above the R6; so much easier to select which items you wanted. It's one of the only things that I felt was a quantum leap BACKWARDS after selling my Nikon gear and buying the R6! Let's hope the R6 III makes this a whole lot simpler and quicker, like the 9-1/2 year old D750.

Is that list from the Configure: MY MENU1 item? If so, it looks very incomplete as it only has the red camera items and then two or three from other menus. Canon puts them in the same order they are in the menu, so you'd normally see all of the red camera items, then AF, then playback, etc. I don't see any AF options in your list.

Maybe the R6ii structures this differently, and you need to get the AF and other options elsewhere. My cameras seem to put them in one big list; the R7 has about 170 items and the R3 has nearly 200.

I think Canon does that on purpose. The programmers get a chuckle out of frustrated people. It's like talking your car to the carwash and the person getting out is 6'3" yet somehow your seat is as far forward as it will go. I swear they do that on purpose.

Sorry I didn't know that was not the complete list. Yes release Shutter without a card is sure a good use of resources.

Anton - it is complete for the Canon R6 II. I went to My Menu 1 > Configure > Select Items to Register and wrote down every option that appears.

Thanks for that. So is there no way to add any of the AF items to My Menu? Like turning tracking on and off, or changing the subject to detect?
