There's a new firmware version 1.1.0 out for the Canon RF 100-500mm F4.5-7.1L IS USM.

Firmware Version 1.1.0 incorporates the following improvement: 1. Improves performance of the image stabilization when using the electronic shutter of the EOS R3 camera during still image shooting.

You can still update but are unlikely to see any benefits. Although there might be small improvements relevant to other cameras that Canon decided not to mention. It certainly won't hurt updating, it's not exclusive for R3 owners.
