Stunning images Scott!

I have a couple of friends that have gone north in the hope of getting a decent shot of the Northern lights..they both got shots but nothing as grand and colourful as yours...I see the times vary a lot...how may shots were necessary to get these?.... Nice work....PB

I saw them two nights in a row. One night I took somewhere around 650 shots, just clicking away. The second night, I took around 500. A lot of the shots looked similar because they were taken so close to each other.

Just wow! Those are just amazing!! I want to go back and see them again someday. Where in Iceland were you?

No escaping that you need to put in effort to come away with something worthwhile and satisfying...again . .nice work

I was in Akureyri and Reykjavik. The first three pics were from the back of the cruise ship off the northern coast while en route to Akureyri, others were taken at Thingvellir National Park.

Fast, sharp, and lightweight! A great lens
This is my main workhorse of a lens and I love it. It's very light weight (only around 2.3 lbs) lens. I've been able to hand-hold it for an event...
