So I started my social media with my phones like most, moved to M50, the 2x6D Mark II then 2 R6's now 2 R6 Marks II's. Man the R6 Mark II's are amazing good for video and photo and easy to use and understand like the previous models I owned. Full time youtuber now.
But NOW I bought an R5 Mark II after watching several videos and reading lots up on it, mainly wanted a great A Camera that also could do great food pictures and did not overheat in 4K. I downloaded the manual, watch several youtube "how to's" video set up but I just cant get it to record like the R6 M2's. It's still flat color and says raw, can't figure how to get unraw as I dont need that lol, and I've tried every setting on the camera pretty much. I'm not very techie but dang I've owned Canons for several years now so not totally dumb either lol.
Anybody have a resource thats mainly for the R5 M2? Mostly need to learn how to video and see just normal colors like the previous cameras.
Should I sell it and get another R6M2? grrrr.
Thanks in advance

Edit to add;
The setting in the R6M2 is 4K-23.98P-IPB (so what in the R5 is the same or close enough?

I'm still learning my R5m2, so others with more experience might have better advice. I'm coming from the R6, and feel somewhat overwhelmed by the R5m2's settings, but I think you're looking for a simple 8-bit MP4 video file at 4K 23.98 fps. That translates to:

Movie rec. size: 4K-U (3840x2160) and 23.98 fps
Main rec. format: this is where you would choose RAW if you wanted that, but I think you want XF-AVC S YCC420 8bit

Also, if you have Custom Picture turned ON, you'll want to turn that off. This is where you can choose to record in Canon Log if you want to color-grade your footage in a video editor. C-Log files look horribly flat and awful before color grading, but they look fantastic afterward. I experimented with this in DaVinci Resolve, but decided it was too much work.

I haven't tried recording in RAW or SRAW, but I did watch this video that explains a problem that seems to be specific to the R5m2. It might be worth watching if you ever decide to record in RAW.

Thanks for that information, I haven't attempted any video on my R5Mk2 yet but the set up is more complex than the R5 it seems.
