Out in the bush, underneath the Milky Way

From a trip out to Glen Davis with some friends. I was shown how to take astro photos by the incredibly talented Michael Lynch (@mickylightpainter on instagram) and boy am I ever glad he showed me the ropes! The second photo I couldn't even tell was going to have purple hues in it - Micky was over the road playing with UV lights, and the exposure I took was so long, he ended up inadvertently painting the ruins I had in frame! Thrilled with the happy accident.

As usual I look at the photographs before I read the commentary. When I came to the photo I was really curious as to the light source.

You have some great compositions there.
