typical for the 7 series.
Which is too bad, because Canon could really make some inroads in the high-end amateur wildlife area where there are a significant number of people who are willing to spend on gear suited for it. I didn't leave Nikon 5 years because of the capability of the D500. With a DSLR shooting a max of 10fps it's not as much of an issue, but to create a 30MP mirrorless body that will shoot 20-30fps and not provide a card that can handle, say, 15 second bursts at that rate, seems short sighted.
