We now know a little more about the 'accessory shoe' on Canon's forthcoming EOS R3 camera system

In a new product development announcement, audio equipment manufacturer Tascam revealed new information regarding the 'accessory shoe' Canon has confirmed will be on its EOS R3 mirrorless camera.

You won't be able to use your older flash and other equipment on the R3 until an adapter is released...and then you might have a long queue to get one.

now Canon has changed their tune, the latest report says we CAN use older flashes on the hot shoe of the R3 but they won't be weather proof without the adapter....I guess we will know for sure soon
