R5 and 600 f4 II

I am using my 500Mk2 and it works like a dream. The Mk1 apparently doesn't communicate quite as well but should still be fine.

I have a 500mk1 and honestly have been struggling with it on the R5. Even on a gimbal and stable the AF misses more than I like.
That's not good to hear. The Mk2 version was all about weight loss and better camera/lens communication. I have noticed that with single point AF even my RF 100-500 sometimes struggles but if I switch to eye detect it will immediately pick up the subject even if there is no eye.
