Canon R5 II R5 Mkii Firmware Update

Hi all

Just noticed, new firmware for R5 Mkii was released on 3 March 2025.

New version 1.0.3

Not sure if anyone else posted (had a look couldn't find anything)

Number 2 is rather interesting, as is the instruction for updating from 1.0.1 as I don't recall ever seeing that. I wonder if it makes a difference which card?

Firmware Version 1.0.3 incorporates the following enhancement and fix: 1. Optimizes the timing of the camera's display of its internal camera temperature warning indicator. 2. Fixes an issue that may interfere with the camera’s ability to focus properly when using AF (autofocus) in certain zoom ranges. If the camera's firmware is Version 1.0.1, please update the firmware with only one memory card inserted into the camera.
