The latest firmware for the R5m2 has been released.

Whenever I switch on one of the twins, I also open Canon's Camera Connect app on my iPhone. The purpose of doing this is to have GPS data automatically recorded as photos are taken; however, the app also automates — alright, ‘nearly automates’ — the hitherto complicated process of updating firmware. Easy-peasey!

Just how the camera is ‘more comfortable to use’ (see text in image below) remains a mystery.

My update went smoothly. No apparent issues, but (now that we finally have some good weather here in DC) I'll take it out today for some more thorough testing.
