I've seen some discussions, but never found a resolution, so forgive me if I'm beating a dead horse.

I recently purchased an external monitor (Accsoon Seemo that turns an iPhone into a recording monitor) and I get a No Video Input error on the screen. While checking with the manufacturer, trying 3 different micro HDMI to HDMI cables, as well as trying to connect to an HDMI on my TV, it is not working. Now, I know the external monitor is working because I can plug my R into it and have no issues, just the R6.

So, before I send the camera off to Canon to see if the HDMI port is dead, does anyone have a solution to get the HDMI output to work?

Edit to add: I've been through all the menu settings on both manual and video recording, turned on/off anything with HDMI info, set from auto to 1080 and back, and nothing seems to be working. I was also on firmware 1.5.2 (I think that was it) and am now on 1.6.

I reached out to Canon support and they said it sounds like it is a bad HDMI port. Once my season dies down, it's off to them to get fixed.

Well that stinks. Hopefully they will get it turned around quickly for you.
