Canon R7 R7 Cage Discussion

I am liking the SmallRig cage on my R6II, and that has me thinking about one for my R7. Several YouTubers have mentioned that the SmallRig R7 cage largely blocks access to the lens release button. One spoke of having to remove the cage to change lenses, which would be a deal breaker for me.

Do any of you have practical experience or alternatives to share?

I'm happy with the $30 Camvate half cage, which wraps around the left side of the R7. I didn't need (or want) the full SmallRig cage that costs 3x. If I was buying today, I'd consider the M-Remote version.
