Saying Hello

First thank you for letting me join the RF forum. My name Chris Wicks (aka Wicksy) from Tunbridge Wells in the UK. Photography is my main hobby and I still feel that I have a lot to learn. (Hence signing up here!) I have been using the Eos R for nearly two years having previously used a Canon Eos 80D. I am really pleased with switch to full frame and to mirrorless. I had to let a lot of my older glass go when I moved to mirrorless, so I am gradually rebuilding my collection. I currently use a RF 24-70 which I love and is my main lens. I also have two remaining EF lenses - the nifty fifty (50 mm 1.8) and a EF 70 - 200 F4 both of which I use with the standard adapter. I am eagerly awaiting the RF 85 F2 which is my promised birthday present in April! Because of time limitations I do a lot of flower photography. Really hoping to do more portraiture once this awful pandemic eases. So that's a bit about me for starters.

Welcome to the forum Chris and thanks for joining and introducing yourself! Glad to hear that the switch to mirrorless appears to be going well for you. It's definitely a nice time of year to be shooting flowers, and all being well we will be able to get out and about a little more very soon!
