Do the R5 and R6 have a sensor shield that protects the sensor when changing a lens?
 
Thank you for taking the time to reply that's reassuring.
It is also an option selection in the menu. Be sure you have it selected to close on camera power down if this is what you want as a default. Turning this option off allows access to the sensor for cleaning. ;)
