At the break of dawn in a wild and lonely place, sharp-tailed grouse arrive at traditional breeding leks. The hens gather off to the side and watch while the cocks dance about, displaying bright yellow eye combs and purple throat patches with wings cupped and tails erect. These fellows dance about, left to right, feet and legs moving up and down at what seems 100mph! They are a photographic challenge, but the entire spectacle is magical and unforgettable.
