Canon R5 Some R5 raw files not readable

After a shoot of about 300 images, I found that the latest Lt Room could not read about 15 or so files. They were readable in the camera(as an after thought). No special set up- shooting manual, RF 100-400 Canon. Just regular bird shots! Using a card reader for my Indmen capture pro (8k), 128 GB, 1700 r, mb/s. I have used this card for a couple of years with no problem. And yes, I realize the card could be going defective. However, I have had this happen 2Xs but had 4 long shoots between the 2 bad ones. Ideas? My SD cards have had “All Good Files” which makes me think it’s the CF card. Ideas ?

Hi Ronald,

I'm not entirely sure what the cause of the problems you're experiencing is, but 2 suggestions - 1. Have you tried copying the errant files from the CF to an SD card in-camera and then uploading them to Lr from the SD card, and 2. (once you've recovered/ backed-up everything you need) run a scan of the CF card to look for any errors and then deep format it in-camera. (I'm not either of these will help, but they're the first things I'd try).
