It been a long while since i have found joy in shooting.

I came across a Film picture style pack recently and it sparked something in me, i started to see the world a bit differently, how the morning sun adds a gentle gradient across the sky, how the solitary buildings give a sense of comfort, a feeling i have not felt in years.

One thing is for sure, my camera goes everywhere with me now, to work, to parks, everywhere.

Notes: Experimenting with Thomas Fransson’s Film Picture Style pack

A superb shot, indeed! At first I thought to myself I'd like to see the top of the tower and a tad bit more of the sky. But then I recalled an experiment I did many Moons ago to show how our brain is capable to reconstruct the scene even when parts are missing. This attached pic was my experimental shot. A well known everyday item where some details are not visible, yet we (hopefully) have no problem to reconstruct what's not seen. I think these two pictures have something in common. Congrats to you for this wonderful picture again! :)

Dammit. I didn’t notice that until you pointed it out and now I can’t un-see it!

Hi TwoWheeler,

Actually I think this attached photo is what our eyes are expecting to see without the collaboration of our human brain. But hey, please take your time and go back to the original picture again and wait till you see this psychological effect. I do believe marcus's picture is way better than what I could do with Photoshop Generative Expand AI. I think this is where great photography starts. :)

Cutting things off is something I far too often do myself and don’t realize until I get home. I’m trying to get better at remembering to check the edges of the frame - to not cut things off or have things protruding into frame - but sometimes….
