Video?

Would it be helpful for RF Shooters to consider adding a Video section?

With more RF bodies supporting strong stills and video capabilities, many members seem to be working in hybrid workflows. A dedicated area might help keep video-related discussions organized while maintaining the forum’s photography focus.


Curious what others think.

I haven't yet jumped into video, but that sounds like a reasonable idea.

However I'm not sure Tim could afford the costs of the additional storage required for hosting videos. Perhaps it is minimal. Perhaps not. Maybe limit postings to links to other media?

I seem to remember that Tim addressed the video storage issue sometime last year, explaining that it was too costly. But I second the motion for a discussion area focused on video and hybrid shooting.

Good point. I didn't think in terms of uploading vids, but can definitely see where that is cost prohibitive. Would it still be worthwhile to have a video section, but not allow uploads? That sounds very difficult to do.
