From our trip to Africa in 2019, with the EOS R. I had the camera for about 3 weeks before I left for the trip (they were incredibly hard to get still) but I put it through it's paces on that trip. I brought it as a backup for my trusty 5D 1V but once I put the big lens on the 500 it never came off.

Beautiful capture Hali!

Agreed, beautiful shot.

Well done! They are certainly checking you out.
They were intent on us, that was for sure. Took a while before they moved off with the rest of the herd. Thank you very much, Ed.

We've done several trips to South Africa and Namibia. On one of our first game drives we saw hundreds of zebra, our guide explained that big cat predators see mostly in black and white and when zebra are all huddled together the predator can't make out the animal as well. The stripes on the legs and bodies all merge together making a plan of attack harder.

Fantastic shot. So, do zebras travel in triplets?

That's very interesting, I didn't know that. I'd love to go back to Tanzania, but maybe a trip to South Africa might be more reasonable I've heard.

Fast, sharp, and lightweight! A great lens
