DxO PhotoLab 8.5 - including the new DeepPRIME 3 NR - is out, Release Notes Here. (On the debit side, this update restricts the use of FujiFilm camera/ film profiles to Fuji raw files - the same restrictions will apply to FilmPack. 'At the express request of Fujifilm, we have revised how the Fujifilm digital film renderings function in our software. These renderings now apply exclusively to RAF files from Fujifilm cameras and only correspond to the simulations available on those cameras')...

I would like to enter an image in the April challenge but do not know how to include the Exif data. My normal way of posting images is to copy the code from my flickr page and post it but that doesn't seem to include the data unless you click on the flickr link. I process images in LR/PS. Any advice is welcome.
Just before I hit the "buy button" and spend my hard-earned pension on an RF 1.4 converter! are HDEW cameras a trustworthy company? All advice helpfull. Cliff.
I have an R100 APS-C Crop Sensor camera and have been looking at options for a lens with macro capability. My interests are mostly landscapes and wildlife, and the macro aspect interests me because it provides a way to get better photos of some of the smaller things in our outdoor world. When I look at other RF series lenses, NOT RF-S lenses, you apply a crop factor of 1.6 to get the equivalent focal length. For example, I have an RF-28mm prime lens, which gives me pretty much a "nifty 50"...
I would like to share a new article on my site about developing a keyword hierarchy and using it to organize your Lightroom archive. https://www.keptlight.com/crafting-a-lightroom-keyword-hierarchy/ It was republished on PetaPixel site as well.
Please don’t degrade into political argument not into it will delete. Are tariffs gonna affect USA members of this forum for photographic equipment be it cameras sd cards tripods anything? Just wondering and presume no ramifications for rest of us, Australia for instance or should we be watching thing as 4 months time stuff maybe 15% more. I’ve basically got all I need camera lens wise but other fiddly stuff cards expensive enough as it is. And if mods choose to delete this I’ve got no...
Thread 'Have you ever tried ChatGPT to critique your own photo?'
I entered “Analyze image and include style” and was returned with: The image you uploaded is a black-and-white photograph with a dramatic, noir-inspired style. Here are some key elements of the image: Analysis of the Image: Subject & Composition: The central figure is an older man with a beard, wearing a fedora hat, dark sunglasses, a trench coat, and a tie. He holds a large knife in one hand and a decorative goblet in the other. A single tomato sits on a plate in front of him...
Thread 'How I processed an image of a roseate spoonbill in flight'
Everyone processes images differently in the editing stage, there is no right or wrong way. I thought it might be interesting to show how I processed this image of a roseate spoonbill in flight in Adobe Lightroom Classic. Original out of camera image in Lightroom with no edits Image after basic cropping and adjustments Using remove tool in LR, the stick behind bird is now gone. Background blurred with lens blur tool and a decrease in clarity and texture for background mask as well as the...
Thread 'Photoshop 'Distraction Removal'...'
I haven't tried this very often, but just started looking at a batch of our (many) zoo raws and tried 'one clicking' this Amur Leopard shot taken by Karen... 😮 Phil Spot the difference (screenshot limitations apply)...
Has anyone tried Typology before? I am getting mixed results with Internet search, some are "okay" some have nothing to do with Typology Photography. Do you have a favorite website or Youtube video? Typology

Something had to change because I just don't remember the bright florescent green in the themes. Is there a way to change it? I use the dark theme and the color makes viewing a real challenge.
The Canon store has some that are refurbished for $359 which is about $80 under the normal price. I currently have the 16mm prime and the 24-105 L but wouldn't mind a wide zoom. It gets pretty good reviews, sharp and lightweight.
Thread 'Sigma 150-600 f5-6.3 Contemporary EF mount'
A couple of pictures with my Sigma 150-600 Contemporary EF mount. The moon picture was using the 1.4x extender taken about 15 miles from the mountain. (The company that made most of the antenna on Sandia Crest saw my image on Facebook and contacted me to purchase it. It now hangs in their office in Texas. Cranes at Sunset. Bosque Del Apache Reserve. Red Winged Black Birds descend on a dead tree. Bosque Del Apache Coyote Eyes lunch at Bosque Del Apache Supermoon rises over Sandia...

Thread 'Today's Photography Lessons:'
"Check the edges of your frame" and "Clean your lens, stupid". I was so caught up in trying to find the exposure that would work for the brightest part of the image as well as the darkest (and too lazy/no tripod to do HDR) that I totally missed the blindingly obvious.
Thread 'Canon EF 135 F/2'
My EF 135 F/2 is one EF lens I will probably never part with. For the money, it is the best bang for the buck lens you can get. All pictures shot on Canon R5 KC 135 shot with EF 135 (f2.8) Hummel statues with EF 135 @ f/2 Bull rider with EF 135 @ f/2 (poor lighting) EF 135 @ f/2 shot through chain link fence Mustangs at the rodeo. EF 135 @ f/2
Recently, I've found myself looking at medium format cameras and sort of wishing that Canon had a medium format option. These days, for digital medium format cameras, the market is ruled by Hasselblad, Fuji, and Phase One. Fuji is the "budget friendly" option, even they start at $5,000. Phase One, don't even think about asking about their prices. I've looked at both the Fuji GFX100S II and the Hasselblad X2D in the store. And while cool, I wish there was a Canon with the Canon ergonomics...
