...I swapped a sky. :(

In my defense though, it was just dull, white overcast and huge distraction.

I can probably count on my fingers (and have enough left to hold a beer) the number of times I've used sky replacement. I take a shower afterwards every time.

So….”three”? (A thumb and forefinger will wrap around the bottle neck nicely, leaving the other three available…)

yeah, not my proudest moments… This one won’t go in the Hall of Fame.

I was thinking more like 7 or 8.

I must admit that I have used Sky Replacement once (NASA image.)

Scary how well the sky swap worked - yet to try it but never say never ;-)

I'm new here so I don't know about the propriety of sharing shot in someone else's post, so let me know and I'll deal with it.

Still... here's my only shot that I ever share where I used sky replacement, and the few times I've shared it, I never admitted that fact. Slimy, I know. It's not an R image either, so that's 2 strikes.

Generally speaking it is not frown upon in showing your photo in someone else's post as long as it is related. What is frowned upon is making a new post with an Non-R-series camera EXCEPT in Non-R section located: here.

Take this opinion with a Grain of Salt because I'm new here as well and not part of Admin.

Side question, your photo looks like the Washington side of the Columbia River out past the Dalles.

I will keep that in mind. Thanks. I'm pretty sure I've never done a sky replacement on any image made with an R body.

That shot was a little farther north in the coulees between Wenatchee and the Grand Coulee dam. Not much of anything out there. The coulees are spectacular when the light cooperates.

Don't know about anyone else's posts, but I welcome all responses. (Including -and perhaps especially - insults).

It's not an R image

I almost never use it on a final image - I have been known to use it to test out and idea for a shot, just to see if my idea is valid. Such was case when I wanted to see if my idea of shooting a particular barn with a dramatic sky was a good one or not...and got this hilarious result
