I'm surprised that the guy didn't remove his watch or take other 'clean-room' precautions when handling/examining the photo. I'd think that he'd be risking scratching the photo with the clasp of his watch or perhaps some other unforeseen accident.

I didn't notice his watch. I would be paranoid about that for sure if I were in his position. Maybe his throat tattoo of a dagger has something to do with it...living on the edge or something.
