Your R System Images - November 2025

Welcome to our Canon RF Shooters Forum

Be apart of something great, join today!

My step son and family are here for the holiday, it's been years since they were all here together. They asked if I could recreate some picture I took back in 2011 of them posing nicely and then fooling around during a portrait session. My studio is gone now so I set up in our family room, it was a bit tight but I managed to get some shots.

Great picture - Moraine Lake is possibly the best location in the Rockies.

Lake Louise is pretty close geographically, you can do both in a day.
Thanks, I love photographing Lake Moraine. Did not photograph Lake Louise in 2024 but did take some images in 2016. It is crazy now how complicated it is to get to Lake Moraine. In 2016 I could just drive up to the parking lot in personal car, but not anymore.

Some additional recent Fall photography; Glen Ellis Falls in Gorham, New Hampshire is a relatively easy hike to these pretty 64-foot (20 m) falls.

A few bumblebee photos that we took on our fall trip. The bees are very busy collecting the last pollen of the season and, like most bees, are very tolerant as long as you give then enough room. The RF100-400 lens is a very nice tool to keep me happy with the photography and the bees happy with my distance from them...
The first photo is a rusty-patched bumblebee, which is considered endangered and relatively rare to find.

The next two photos are the relatively common brown-belted bumblebee. Like most bumblebees, they are hairy little critters...

Some fall foliage near Mooselookmeguntic Lake in Maine.

The next photo shows Mooselookmeguntic Lake (try saying that 3 times fast) surrounded by fall color. This was the first time we had visited this area in Maine and we were not disappointed.

Hi Don,

A fantastic collection of inspirational shots - each offering a wealth of wonders to delight the viewer and all beautifully captured and presented.

(We love falls, bees and scintillating landscapes, so picking a favourite was proving to be impossible - until we tried saying the name of that lake... ).

Well done indeed - and thank you for sharing... 🙂

Hi Don,

Cheers - much appreciated! :)

(When time permits, I do enjoy fiddling around with our flora based shots - there should be plenty more examples dripping out in due course).

Phil

I never get tired of these. Beautiful!

Is that a comet just above the streetlamp?
Thanks. No, not a comet. We live very close to Calgary airport and that is a plane after take-off heading away from town.

*** R System Images - November *** Thread Closed…

Another terrific collection of inspirational R System images this month - posted from people all around the world and viewed by people all around the world - we’ve really enjoyed seeing them (though we can’t comment on each and every image due to ‘life stuff’). A HUGE ‘thank you’ to all of the contributors and commentators - your talents and time are appreciated! :)

You can continue to post any comments here, but the December thread is now open for all new images (including any additional November material).
