Hi Mike,Great shots Phil. You’ve captured Abbortsford beautifully. Popped along there last year, we are not far away in Kelso. The study is my favourite room. Sadly the garden was looking a bit sorry for itself when we visited. Cragside is also well worth a visit if you’re near Rothbury.
Managed to get out and about yesterday, at Holy Island. Wildlife photography is new to me so still a lot to learn! Not frightening the little blighters off would help!

Cheers - much appreciated!
We visited Abbotsford shortly after a(nother) national deluge-fest, the gardens were just about hanging in there, but the wider grounds were a tad soggy (as were we!). Nice enough morning though and the house is a real treat - inside and out.
We visited Cragside in 2023 (timing it just right to get absolutely drenched) and cycled from Beadnell Bay to Holy Island in 2021 (timing the tide just about right so we didn't get drenched) - both are great recommendations and well worthy of a reprise.
Glorious images of beautiful creatures (non-compliant wildlife being a regular obstacle to success - but also one of the joys of the challenge).
Thank you for sharing...
