Introducing myself as Bob from Nottinghamshire, UK.

A Canon user for the past 30 years who has added the R System to my equipment because of advancing years and the desire to reduce the weight of my various camera bags.
Previously looked at mirrorless by investing in a used EOS M5 and a few lenses, which incidently has helped moving to a EOS R8. The EOS-M stuff will soon be exchanged for something I can slip in my pocket for those days when I don't want to take too much - maybe a new compact or Powershot.

What will never be traded in is my EOS 6D - a camera with a soul - now 10 years old but still going strong with either my EF 24-105 f4 L or EF 50mm f 1.8 STM.
My only R lenses at present are the RF 24-50 kit lens (not getting any use), an RF 35mm f.2 and the quirky RF 16 f2.8 plus an RF to EF adapter.
Some EF lenses whose future is uncertain - EF 40mm F2.8, EF 17-40 f4L and EF 70 - 200 f4L with a very noisy USM !

I need to rationalise my equipment at some time soon with maybe something a little longer for the R8, we shall see.

No particular photographic interests, I just enjoy making photographs.

Looking forward to joining the Forum.

Bob

Welcome to the forum, Bob.

Welcome Aboard RJ

I would recommend the RF 24-105 F4. A much-improved lens from the EF version Light weight and good deals on the used market.
