I don't usually shoot weddings, but couple I knew got married so I couldn't turn down the request.

Some nice pictures (need to cull/edit properly, now too tired), hope they are happy about them.

But more interesting was to learn how much the batteries can take. This was first time really trying long day shooting. I have battery grip on R5, and I have 2 Canon batteries + 2 Wasabi batteries.

Final tally from today (with R5) was 13 hours and about 4060 pictures. Towards the end I was getting bit worried about batteries, but could have made bit longer if really needed. I did some amount of chimping, but later as I was getting worried I limited the camera to mostly just taking pictures. So ~1000 pics and 3h per battery.

Interesting post, did you notice a difference between the Canon battery performance and the Wasabi performance? Having just moved from a 1DX MK2 to a R6 and R, I am concerned about having enough power now!

Not enough data for any proper statistics but didn't notice difference between Canon and Wasabi, I was thinking to buy one more pair of the wasabi set for long days.

I got this set: https://amzn.to/3cFlrCY

You get 2 batteries and double-charger for less than 50% price compared to one single Canon battery.

Do the Wasabi batteries still have issues like not showing the battery meter and compatibility warnings? I stop buying off brand ones with my M6 when I used it because of those issues. I haven't tried using off brands with my EOS RP yet because of those issues. I do find battery life in the RP is not very good... Hundreds of pictures seem to drain it.

Haven't seen any such, seems to work same as the Canon batteries. In general I have had good experience with Wasabi brand over the years with various different cameras, seems that they are better than average 3rd party battery manufacturer.

Just be advised the batteries you show are LP-6EN and not EN*H* comparable. You should expect lower life and reduced frame rate in continuous shutter.

Lower capacity (Canon Specs 1865mah EN vs 2250mah ENH). After market batteries are notorious for over stating capacity.

For truly comparable, these have been tested and perform near identical to Canon batteries. A little more than the ones you posted, but still two batteries and a charger for less than one Canon battery.

Thanks for the information. I just bought a set. I only have older lp-6e batteries and one 6EN batt as spares for the R5 battery. Be good to have the right capacity.

Thanks for this info, the problem seems to be that in the Uk, I can't find any! Anybody know where I can get them from in the UK?
