I wasn't sure whether to add this to an existing thread or start a new one. People ask about LrC performance and I and others have the standard set of "did you try this" set of questions. There is also that very helpful article by Adobe about how to maximize performance on both LrC and PS. Something I once may known but forgot about it. I can't member the last time I've seen any mention of it on any forums.

If you have all of your presets open and scroll over them LrC will create a Preview for every one. That will really bog things down. Many years ago Adobe added Preset Management. Since that day I hid them all except for the four I use most often. I open them as needed. You can also disable Hovering to prevent that from happening.

I never thought about because LrC just files for me. That will be a good one to add to the list when helping someone out.
