A grasshopper is reflected in the bodywork of our car, with water droplets. It looks almost transparent in the bright sunlight that was catching it obliquely.

A trip to Stour Valley Nature Reserve for a little peace and tranquility during our New Forest holiday a couple of weeks back.

Here's one I took in The Gambia in February. An African Darter had caught a Tilapia fish in the deep shade of the mangroves. I wonder if the fish reflects on life as it considers the inevitable end.

Taken at dawn almost exactly a year ago along the highway between Whistler and Squamish, British Columbia. Daylight was just creeping in, this was like 5:45am. Note the noise from the higher ISO. I like it though, it lends it an even more dreamlike texture.

I visited Minneapolis this past week and I had to visit the Sculpture Garden to see the famous "Spoonbridge and Cherry," a piece by Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen. It's located in the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden at the Walker Art Center. It's an oversized spoon with a cherry on top. The spoon measures 52 feet long, and the cherry itself weighs 1,200 pounds. The sculpture emits water from both the tip and the base of the cherry's stem. The pond underneath the sculpture reflects the artwork and I really liked the ripple effects created by the water coming off the cherry & stem.
