It's been brutal. I've hardly been out at all this winter. And by brutal, I mean hard to photograph outdoors. Weatherwise, it's been pretty mild here in the PNW. No complaints about getting around or anything.
I love shooting in winter. If I had to pick my 10 best pictures, probably four or five would be winter landscapes. But we didn't really get a winter this winter.
Brutal.
Before Xmas we had an atmospheric river roll through the region. At one point it dropped 4 inches of rain in 32 hours. It was actually kind of a warm, gentile rain, with no wind. Almost pleasant, but unceasing. I went out around hour 35 and found swollen rivers and wet wildlife.
Wet Bull
We got some river fog in the morning a couple of times. I went out looking for that. It helped a little. The fog and bare trees mostly led to eerie B&W.
