The latest firmware for the Canon R3 is now version 1.2.2

Firmware Version 1.2.2 incorporates the following fixes:

1. Fixes an issue that, in rare instances, displays an Error Code 70 when the camera is capturing small subjects.
2. Fixes an issue that, in rare instances, may result in image files not being recorded properly when the battery is removed from the camera while the power switch is set to or.

If the camera's firmware is already Version 1.2.2, it is not necessary to update the firmware.

The firmware can be downloaded from Canon's Support Sites. US / Europe (for some reason it's not yet showing on the European site).

Just a related question: how about updated manuals? I was expecting an updated manual, to be 'in sync' with the latest firmware... But I just cannot find it anywhere ????

It looks like the manual was last updated with firmware 1.2.1 which introduced a lot of new features and functionality to the camera. 1.2.2 was just fixes so no need for an update to the manual.
