I don't think we have a cormorant thread so I thought I'd start one. Here's a young cormorant I spotted on the River Teme in Ludlow on the weekend. Cropped here to 4000px.

I finished with distant birds until there is an R7 in the bag. The RP and 600mm f/11 required too much cropping. 1/500 ISO 500 - If I had it to do over, I would use a faster shutter and higher ISO. Noise is easier to fix than blur.

Thanks! Second one was was about 37% of the frame. What I called a heavy crop before the R5.

This cormorant was a regular visitor to our condo retention pond early this fall. He preferred to ride around on the fake swans (meant to deter the neighborhood geese) and scan for fish. I called him Cormy the Pirate.
