I purchased my first camera, a Pentax K1000 SE (SE = Special Edition - brown instead of black), with pennies saved/earned around 16 years of age. Unfortunately, despite a couple different 35mm film cameras and a few different digitals cameras in my past, the photos I capture are still a bit less than artistic. Now nearing retirement, with the prospect of time available, I hope to be able to finally apply myself to practicing the "art" of photography.

I have owned my R6 for a few years now, but am still a bit clumsy with the settings. Canon's intermittent sales have successfully tempted me into far too many RF lens purchases. So, I am fully equipped except for the skill to fully utilize that equipment. Lurking on this forum for several months has already improved my shooting, so it seems weird that I have not joined the forum before today.
