This is a bit unconventional, but I’m going to use my Canon T3 as a second body. It takes good pictures and it will be fine for wide angle work. However, being an aps-c sensor I’m not sure which lens to pick. Right now it has an 18-55 kit lens on it, which frankly takes great photos, the aperture is just a bit small. Since the ISO on this camera maxes out at 6400 I think a 2.8 or larger will probably be necessary. I’ve thought about putting a Sigma 30mm 1.4 Art lens on it, which would put me in standard length territory, but that’s still ok for story telling work.

If I had the budget for it, I’d get another R6 Mk2 or an R8 with a 14-35 F4 L, just to give you an idea of the range I’m looking for. Open to any suggestions. Thanks.

If you'd put a 14-35 on a FF, then put a 10-18 or 10-20 on crop. Those are direct substitutes.

There's a new (and similarly priced) UWA RF-S lens, too, but unless you're going with an RF-S body of course that won't do you any good.
