People Family photo shoot over the weekend

I did a photoshoot for my daughter in law over the weekend. She wanted a family portrait for fall and one for their Christmas card this year so they were all going to be dressed in clothes typical for Autumn. Only problem was that here in Houston it was 96 degrees F so kind of warm for warm woolen shirts and coats. Besides getting the family photos my grandson was going to surprise his girlfriend with a marriage proposal.

I had scouted a location near our home a month ago and used the Photo Pils app to visualize where the sun would be on the proposed date and the position in the sky so I would know if the spot was in bright light or shadows.

In the end it all worked out, I shot at a fairly fast rate due to the heat and then my grandson got on one knee while his girlfriend was distracted by the others, she turned around and he proposed.

I used the Canon R and the RF 24-105mm f/4 lens so I could easily compose for the group or headshots of couples.
