These are my very first attempt at capturing star trails. I was in Central Wisconsin with a Bortle Class 3 sky, so relatively dark. I was shooting in the direction of Class 2, so that may have helped as well.

This is 117 images captured with my R6 and a Samyang 14mm f/2.8 fully manual lens. Exif: 30 seconds each, f/2.8, ISO 1250 with a 1 second delay between shots. I edited the first photo in Lightroom Classic, synced the remaining photos, then stacked them using StarStax.

First one is using StarStax's Comet Mode. If you're not familiar, it makes the trails appear as comets with tails. I really enjoy this look!

Second photo is with full star trails.

So fantastic!!

I only recently started doing star trails. It's time consuming but the results can really be cool! Good job on your first attempt!
