One of my mentors a ex storm photography guy mentioned to me "yeah great shot but not quite in focus" Ive tried manual at distant stars, tried focus assit on stars with colour. Magnify glass is to check focus you cant actually focus with that activated or am i wrong. Pity you cant lock focus. Any help appreciated

When I want to make sure that I nail hyper focal distance in my panoramas, I always set my lens (Tamron 24-70/2.8) to manual focus, and zoom in on the screen on the back of my camera (R6mkII). That way my focus doesn't move.

Interesting. I love when I read something new and actually understand it.

I have had this lens since it came out and it is my lightweight go to lens for walking around in the city and using my infrared-converted camera...
