Fun with focus stacking with the R5

I REALLY don't like subscriptions, but I figured I'd give Topaz a go for the year and see how it goes. I'm doing a lot of resizing and being able to enlarge without losing quality with Gigapixel is just mind-blowing. I can't believe the technology available these days compared to 20 or more years ago!
I have no problems with subscriptions if they give value for what I am paying. For me Adobe is well worth the money I pay for it. When I factor in the cost that I was paying for an upgrade every two years and the slow rollout of features, compared to the frequent updates and new features I get now I find it to be a good value for my money. That's just my opinion and I use lightroom and photoshop and many of the features in both, YMMV.

I hear you. I appreciate the value of the Adobe products. I use them on a daily basis, literally. I just have a problem (my issue to deal with) thinking about paying for something every month, year after year until I die. Even a house is paid for eventually. I've never even subscribed to a magazine because of the committment. Between Netflix, SiriusXM, Amazon Prime, Adobe, and whatever I'm forgetting at the moment, it eats into my play money! 😁

You sound like us, We've got each of those, and it seems like even the people whose tutorials I like on YouTube want money now for their "premium" content! I know they all need to have a revenue stream, but I need to save money too. Retirement is coming sooner than later, and I have a few lenses that I want to buy before then ;)
