A rookery has been developing near my home. This is a new nest that is in great view of the road. Afternoon conditions were pretty overcast. First outing with the new R6.

That's cool. I've seen Herons my whole life in TN and FL, but have never seen one in a nest. I looked it up after seeing you pic, and it says they nest in colonies of up to 500. Are there more around? Thanks.

Thank you Richard! There are about 15 nests in the area right now and it seems like there are more being built. Many of them are not within shooting distance. There are some other rookeries close by that have up to 50 nests.
