This forum seems to be the ideal place to pick up tips and help from other peoples experiences with the R cameras. I've had an R5 since the end of November and still waiting to get out and give the camera a real go. Have been in constant lock down as wife has been shielding. The R5 replaces my 5D Mk IV but I still have my 50D. No RF lenses yet as I've collected a number of EF L lenses over time and have found they perform very well on this camera. I have 2 standard adapters and one with the control ring. Updated the R5 to firmware 1.3 yesterday.
I have been retired now for 11 years and my photographic interests are fairly general but have a bias towards steam railways and landscape.

Welcome to forum Ken and thank you for joining up here and introducing yourself. I hope you and your wife will be able to get out and about a little more soon, at least with stay local we have a little more freedom, hopefully soon we'll be able to travel a little further too. Happy Easter!
