Hi from sth Wales UK

Hi everyone , I am an R5 owner , I have 5 RF lenses at the moment , I have the 15-35 2.8 , 28-70 F2 , 70-200 F2.8 , 100-500 and the 50 1.8 , I hoping to buy the newly announced 100 macro when it comes out(eager to know what SA stands for lol) . I class myself as a semi pro , I shoot portraits mainly but enjoy most types of photography .

I live in South Wales in the UK , and have my own small studio in our home , I say I'm a semi pro as my wife has MS so I care for her mainly , and photograph clients on the side . I am looking forward to interacting with some of you on here , and hopefully learning a few new things .

Welcome Rick and thanks for joining up here! It sounds like you have built up quite a nice collection of gear already! I'm also curious about what SA means and will most likely be tempted by this lens myself. I do love South Wales, obviously haven't had chance to visit in a while! We try to get to Pembrokeshire each year and I love going over to Skomer whenever possible.

Thanks Tim , this ia a fab forum pal a superb idea for all us RF users , you will have to let me know when you are down in Pembrokeshire next we could meet up , Skomers bookings are re-opening this week and I am hoping to book to go over there soon , I have lived down here for 14 years and have never been there , so its definitely something I would like to do , maybe when the forum has more members in the UK we could organise days out and do something like Skomer .

Cheers Rick. So far so good, hopefully it keeps growing in the right direction. I think from today we are allowed to travel over the border again! I enjoy visiting Bwlch Nant yr Arian for the red kites too, so will have to make a trip there again soon. I can do that in a day trip comfortably but Pembrokeshire needs a few more days minimum. I'm not sure if I'll make it to Skomer this year as we have a 9 month old which makes these trips a little more challenging. I might do a long day trip up to Bempton Cliffs instead as my other half will let me get away with that, just about! I'm not sure if they have changed the bookings for Skomer with covid but for the day trips you normally need to get there 1-2 hours before the booking office opens otherwise you risk not getting a ticket for the boat. Yes, I'm sure as the forum grows it will be possible to arrange meet-ups between members as well
