I was just accepted into the group and wanted to introduce myself and give a little background on my photography journey. First, let me say that I'm not a spring chicken having made 73 trips around the sun. I have been interested in taking pictures almost my whole life, well at least 65 years of it. I got my first camera at age 8 and my Dad taught me how to use it and develop my own film. Needless to say I was hooked at this early age. Most of my photography has been for recording significant events in my family's life and our travels together as well as advertising our family business. The R5 adventure just started a couple of months ago and I'm looking forward to wearing this camera out.

Welcome to the board.

Welcome aboard and have fun with your R5. Really enjoying mine!👍👍

Thank you Bear, it's a great camera but takes some time to learn how to best use it. Still trying.

I hear you on the learning process. I’ve had mine for just over a year and still learning new things every day). A big step up from my old Pentax film cameras.

I agree, and with each new "generation" of camera there are new features that require investigation and experimentation. The camera becomes more a effective tool, but the learning curve grows. It's good to be part of a group like this where we can all learn and grow together.

Welcome Gary and thank you for joining up here. Any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

thank you, so far I'm enjoying the experience. I have met some great photographers and gotten some good guidance along the way.
