Hey y’all. I’m Chris and I’m in South Carolina, near Charleston. Retired Army and work for Big Brother. Well at least gut 8 more months when I retire for good.
Had many cameras over the years, of various brands. Seems Canon always does better. Last was an old Nikon D70. Some of the funnest, and best pics were from an air show using a little Canon SX10IS point and shoot. I had been looking at several M50’s locally but stumbled on the R50 I just got. Made him an offer and here we are.
It has the kit lens but I want something with zoom. Trying to decide between the RF-S55-210mm F5-7.1 IS STM Telephoto Zoom, or the RF75-300mm F4-5.6mm Telephoto Zoom. Figured I’d keep it reasonable for now. I like to shoot sports, landscapes, city scapes, and people now and then. Oh, and my herd of wiener dogs.

Fast, sharp, and lightweight! A great lens
This is my main workhorse of a lens and I love it. It's very light weight (only around 2.3 lbs) lens. I've been able to hand-hold it for an event...
