Just playing with the RF100-300 and looking at the DoF area - think this shot shows it quite well 300mm @ f3.5 hand held about 10' away

I would assume so, unless, as Timothy said, it's your pet fly, then it belongs in the pet section 😉 Nicely shot and a great DOF.
