Spoke to a seasoned storm chaser giving me tips.
Said WB should be set to tugsten for nocturnal storms same as astro.
Daylight not so critical can use auto.
Any thoughts always trying to learn.

My thoughts were if shooting raw can be fixed later in DXO or LR or C1 Topaz etc
 
I don't know the "proper" white balance setting for storm chasing, but have heard that the camera light metering works best when the white balance is chosen correctly for the scene. That's why I always use the Daylight setting when shooting birds or daytime landscapes.

Yes. This is me regardless. Anything you do in-camera can likely be done better when developing RAW - especially if you're color-grading.
