Hi everyone,

I asked Tim, and he said it would be okay if I linked the websites my husband I did for our trip to Costa Rica. We broke the trip up into 3 parts and have only got 2 done so far, and we just came back from Barbados, so it could be a while before I post the final one. (The upside of not having kids, we travel a bit). Just so you are forewarned, I have a mixed marriage, I shoot Canon, he shoots Nikon.

The first part of our trip - Costa Rican lowland Rainforest
The second part - Arenal Volcano area

And if that doesn't bore you to bits, here is the link to our vacation page in general, we've been to some fun places.

Thanks for looking

Hali

Thank you very much, Mike! I've been at this for a good while now and have had a lot of practice both out in the field and developing the images, but I still have a lot to learn.

Incredible images and write-up Hali! Definitely a dream vacation for me!

You should most definitely go! Even if it isn't a photo tour, the country is so beautiful and warm. It's a good place to take a family.

Enjoying the report and stunning photography. Costa Rica is on my wish list having been once before back in 2008. We paid a mere £400pp for a last minute deal two week all inclusive package from the UK. I almost didn't book it as we'd just got back from another trip! A similar holiday now is over £2250 ! I hired a car and we had a night at the Arenal Observatory which I seem to remember was over £100 for a Smithsonian room with a stunning view of the Arenal volcano which back then was spewing red hot lava down the side of the mountain. What a memory, I hardly slept all night totally engrossed with the view through the huge picture window.

That sounds like an awesome trip! The trip we were on was not nearly as expensive as our safari trip was but still way more than it was 10 years ago. Amazing how things have changed. Still, I would do it again in a hot minute.

And the third, and final part of the trip review is done. It's very heavy on hummingbirds... just a warning.
