I just got a Neewer Basic 74" TP37 tripod and was taking some photos of my roses and am having problems with the QR plate. In order to attach it to the camera in such a way that i can balance it on the fluid head the QR plate being so long is up against the lens. Doesnt seem right to me. I am such a newbie i am sure i am doing something wrong. Any advice would be appreciated. I only took the tripod out of the box an hour ago so i do not have much to say about it yet. I have noticed that the head seems to want move or fall forward in a hydraulic way.... Nevertheless i have only had it an hour so i am sure i will figure it out. Lens in this scenerio is Canon RF 100-400mm f/5.6-8 IS USM Lens on a Canon EOS R8.
