Most likely not recommended but I decided to filter my new Mac Mini. Since dropping Amazon it has been more challenging to procure items. I got mine from Ebay UK which cost me a bit more. Here is the Amazon link.

It came with an extra screen so I can swap it out monthly for cleaning or if I notice the temps go up. I did get an app to monitor temperature. I didn't want to control the fan speed, just monitor the temps.

I like mucking around so I decided to lift it off the table. It may not look pretty but now the average idle temps dropped about 8 Celsius. They were always over 50 but now average about 43. Someone on another sire said 50 Celsius is not enough to fry an egg but I was more interested in slowing the dust down. I figured raising it might help a bit with reducing dust.

I used epoxy to glue the nuts to the base. Not that it needs levelling but you can tune with the bolts. The nuts are not all level as I as blind from gluing my eyelids together :) The base is a little scratched up because I used sandpaper to roughen up the smooth areas for the epoxy to stick better. I wasn't too careful because you can't see it.

The gap is because it's on its side. It's actually a very good fit. I'm sure I could have found other things for legs at the hardware store but I had the nut & bolts kicking around. It's behind the monitor so you have to purposely look to see it. No one else will see it besides my wife and she doesn't care.
