A neighbor let me know about a nesting bird close to their house and wanted me to come see if I could ID it and take some pictures. I headed over there to find a pair of night herons in the process of nest building in a pine tree very close to several homes. I set up my tripod and camera to capture what I could without disturbing the couple. I used an R5 with adapted Sigma 60-600mm set to 600. Here are the results with a fairly heavy crop on the first one.
