I've spent years shooting another brand, but their support for full frame and mirrorless is very limited. So, I decided it was time for a change. My Canon R5 arrived yesterday, and as I took it out of its packaging, a small round plastic bit fell out. It's the joystick button. Should I be able to put it back on successfully, or had I best do a return and exchange it for a new one from the vendor?

Thanks!

That stinks. I would definitely take it back and swap it out if you could. If it fell off once then it's likely to do it again, and it's not supposed to fall off.

Morning, I agree if the camera is damaged I would ask for an exchange a new camera should not have damage.

Welcome to the forum, and I would return it to the vendor. You've not had an auspicious start, but you will love the R5 because it is a fantastic camera. I moved from Nikon to Canon last summer and I don't regret a thing.
